Commercial trucking insurance for owner-operators and fleets

Whether you're getting new authority or shopping your renewal, we'll help you line up the filings and coverage your loads and contracts require.

Primary auto liability

Covers injuries and damage your trucks cause to others. Federal minimums apply to for-hire carriers, and many shippers and brokers require higher limits, commonly $1,000,000. This is also where your required filings come from.

Physical damage

Comprehensive and collision coverage for your own tractors and trailers, written at a stated value with a deductible you choose. Lenders and lessors usually require it.

Motor truck cargo

Covers the freight you're hauling if it's damaged or lost. Limits and exclusions vary a lot by commodity, so it matters exactly what you haul. Reefer breakdown and high-value loads need special attention.

Trailer interchange & general liability

Trailer interchange covers non-owned trailers you pull under an interchange agreement. General liability covers claims that don't involve driving, such as damage at a customer's dock. Many contracts ask for both.

Leased-on owner-operators

If you run under another carrier's authority, you may need non-trucking liability (bobtail), physical damage and occupational accident coverage instead. Tell us how your lease works and we'll sort it out.

What the trucking form asks for

It takes about 10 minutes with your paperwork handy. You can skip anything you don't have and we'll follow up.

Never include Social Security numbers. We'll request loss runs and anything sensitive through a secure channel.
